SAM LAMBETH
HIGH STREET STAGE - SUNDAY 24 AUGUST - 2PM
Influenced by the ragged alternative rock and country of Neil Young, Tom Petty and newer acts such as MJ Lenderman and Waxahatchee, Sam Lambeth is a Wolverhampton-based singer-songwriter with a gift for concise, vivid guitar anthems.
Over the years, he has had coverage on Radio X and BBC Radio One, press inches in Rolling Stone and NME, and supported acts including The Lemonheads, The Bluetones, The Orielles and We Are Scientists.
Lambeth's songs usually boast stellar choruses buoyed by harmonies, rich melodies and plenty of guitar grit. He and his live band have taken in gigs all over the country, including sold out shows in London, Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Memorable shows have also included performing in front of 25,000 Wolves fans at their Molineux stadium.
