SHEENA WIECKOWICZ

Sheena moved to London to pursue a professional music career in the mid 90s. She performed with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra for 3 years as vocalist and percussionist, was backing vocalist for pop singers Gabrielle, Justin Hayward and Lisa Stansfield.
Sheena performed with her own jazz quartet (Sheena Davis Group) throughout the 2000s, touring all over Europe, promoting her three albums, released under the Indie label, 'Jazzizit'.
Sheena has won 3 awards, British Gas/Daily Express Tomorrow's People Award 2001, The Week Awards, Leicestershire Best Jazz Concert 2003 and Marlborough Jazz Festival Best Concert 2007. She has received radio play on BBC Radio 2, Parkinson's Sunday Supplement, BBC Radio 3 Jazz Line-up and, Jamie Cullum's Jazz Show as well as local and regional radio. Sheena is one of the few Handpan musicians in the UK and has performed live for Genevieve Tudor's BBC Radio Shropshire's Sunday Folk Show and Adam Greens BBC Sounds on Handpans.
She is currently working on her first Handpan album, due for release in 2026 and we are thrilled that Sheena will be bringing the enchanting and mesmerising tones of her handpans to the Castle Gardens Stage.
