The Return of Dan Williams with a New Trio

As part of the Bridgnorth Festival, the Bridgnorth and District Art Society is once again hosting its much-anticipated annual event, "Art Among the Pews." This exhibition is set to transform the historic St Leonard’s Church into a vibrant gallery space, showcasing the rich artistic talent that flourishes within the local community.

Using poems for flight … Without the hassle of airport security and limited fluids, prize–winning Bridgnorth writer Sharon Ashton will take you on a journey in poetry, from Shropshire, across the world, and back.
Morgan Birch
Morgan Birch is a performance poet, multi-slam winner and self-confessed rhyme and rhythm addict. With subjects ranging from political protest to the mating habits of frogs, Morgan will always give you plenty of words for your money.
Barbara Chapman
Barbara is Chair of Bridgnorth Writers’ Group. In 2021 she was longlisted in the Gloucestershire Poetry Society’s Open Poetry Competition; her entry in the 2023 PPP Competition was one of seven commended poems.
Lizzie Prudence
Since swapping a potter’s wheel for a notebook, Lizzie shares her poetry around Shropshire and the West Midlands. As a member of the British Haiku society Lizzie has performed haiku arranged for voice and flute.
Colin Wells
Colin is a multiple poetry slam champion and has performed at many venues worldwide including: The RSC, BBC, Granada Television, NEC, ICC, Disneyland Paris and, most recently, at Violet’s Tea Rooms in Bridgnorth.
John Woodall
John was the Wolverhampton Literature Festival Poetry Slam Champion in 2022
the Whitchurch Poetry Slam Champion in 2023, the Ironbridge Poetry Slam Champion in 2023 and the Cheltenham Poetry Festival Slam Champion in 2024.

Bridgnorth Music & Arts Festival is thrilled to announce its collaboration with Dangerous Sheep Events for this year's highly anticipated event. With Dangerous Sheep's provision of a professional-level festival stage, the renowned High Street event promises an unparalleled experience for attendees and performers alike.
The Bridgnorth Music & Arts Festival has long been a staple in the cultural calendar of Bridgnorth, celebrating the vibrant spirit of the community through music, arts, and entertainment. Since its inception in 2006, the festival has grown in both scale and reputation, attracting talent from across the region and beyond with a focus on championing grassroots, original music and emerging talent.
This year, the collaboration with Dangerous Sheep Company marks an exciting milestone for the festival, ensuring that attendees can enjoy performances on a stage of the highest quality. Known for their expertise in providing top-tier event production services, Dangerous Sheep brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to the table, elevating the festival experience to new heights.
"We are delighted to be collaborating with Dangerous Sheep Events for this year's Bridgnorth Music & Arts Festival," said Jennifer Bone, Director of the festival. “Since the festivals hiatus and relaunch in 2023, we have been working hard behind the scenes to reinvigorate the festival and having a festival stage for our High Street event is a wonderful asset to the festival”.
The festival, which is free to attend, moves around the town of Bridgnorth over the August bank holiday weekend, promises a diverse line-up of musical acts, workshops, poetry events and more. Whether attendees are passionate music enthusiasts or simply looking to soak up the vibrant atmosphere, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
